Heating Repair from Technicians Who Care

Breakdowns are never convenient, but heating repair can be. When your heat pump or gas furnace breaks down, we’re one call away with 24/7 emergency service to diagnose the problem. We show up when we say we will, and we follow through until the repair is complete and your home is back up to temp.

If you’re experiencing any of these issues, it’s time to give Alltemp Air a call:

  • Your heat pump or gas furnace is blowing cold air or no air at all
  • The heating system cycles on and off frequently
  • Your energy bills have spiked
  • Unusual noises are coming from your heater
  • You notice hot and cold spots around your home
  • You see a yellow pilot light (instead of blue) on your gas furnace

Our highly-trained technicians will diagnose the issue and explain your options so that together we can find the best solution to fit your equipment, home, and budget.

Heating Maintenance

Reliable Comfort Starts With Routine Care

The best way to reduce your risk of unexpected heating breakdowns is regular preventative maintenance. Alltemp’s Maintenance Plans are the most cost-effective and convenient way to ensure that a heating tune-up is never forgotten, keeping your gas furnace or heat pump running efficiently and safely and protecting your investment in your home comfort system.

Prevent System Breakdowns

Technicians often identify and correct small issues during routine maintenance that could otherwise blossom into larger, more expensive problems.

Protect Your Investment

Taking regular care of your home heating system extends its lifespan so that you get the most out of your purchase.

Lower Your Energy Bills

Equipment that isn’t well-maintained works harder, requiring more energy to run. Preventative maintenance boosts energy efficiency.

Keep Your Family Comfortable

A regularly-serviced furnace or heat pump maintains steadier temperatures, keeping your home warm and comfortable even when it’s freezing outside.

Repair vs. Replacement? Make an Informed Choice

Alltemp air estimate consultation

Our technicians are not salespeople – their goal is to diagnose the problem you are having with your heating system and provide you with informed options for how to fix it. While we want to help you maximize your investment by extending the life of your heating system, we also don’t want you to put money out to repair an out-of-warranty furnace or heat pump that’s on its last legs.

Replacements are generally worth considering if your system is:

  • More than 10-15 years old and you’re experiencing issues
  • Requiring frequent or increasingly costly out-of-warranty repairs
  • Struggling to heat your home evenly
  • Driving up your energy bills

When a heating repair is the best option, we’ll make it happen. If a heating system replacement makes more sense, we’ll help you explore your options – without pressure.

Extended Warranty Protection

Protect Your Investment Beyond the Parts Warranty

Most manufacturer warranties cover the cost of failed parts — but not the labor to replace them. An extended labor warranty fills that gap, protecting you against labor costs for any mechanical or electrical failure throughout the 10-year coverage term.

FAQs

You’ve got questions? We’ve got answers.

If you can’t find the answer to your question, feel free to contact us here.

How often should I schedule heating maintenance?

Our recommendation is to schedule two preventative maintenance services annually: one during heating season and one during cooling season. We highly recommend signing up for an annual Maintenance Plan, which offers the best value and ensures that routine maintenance is never skipped.

What is included in a heating tune-up?

The goal of a preventative maintenance service is to keep your heat pump or gas furnace operating as safely, efficiently, and reliably as possible. During a seasonal heating tune-up, an Alltemp technician will change your air filter(s), clear drain lines, inspect electrical components, test motor operation, verify proper furnace ignition (if applicable) and more. You can find our complete heating maintenance checklist here!

Do I really need an extended labor warranty on my heating system?

Your furnace or heat pump is a machine, and like all machines, it has a limited lifespan and will likely require some kind of repair over the course of that lifespan. Most manufacturer warranties cover failed parts, but not the labor required to make the repair. Extended labor warranties protect you against the labor required to fix any mechanical or electrical failures during the 10-year term, offering peace of mind and protecting your investment in your new heating system.

Why do you perform load calculations? What is a load calculation?

Manual J load calculations determine the exact heating and cooling requirements of your home. The calculation is based on your home’s square footage, windows, orientation, insulation levels, etc. We perform load calculations to ensure that we are properly sizing your HVAC equipment. Improperly-sized equipment can cause issues like short cycling, high humidity, higher energy bills, and general discomfort.

Do you install and repair all types of heating systems?

Our technicians have extensive experience repairing and installing many different types of residential heating systems, from heat pumps and gas furnaces to dual fuel systems and ductless mini-splits. We do not work on oil furnaces.

Do you work on geothermal systems?

Yes, we work on geothermal heat pumps. That said, we work only on the HVAC side of your geothermal system – not on wells. If you are having issues with your water loops in the ground, you would need to contact your well company.
